But the truth is... shrinkage isn't the problem. Shrinkage is one of the characteristics that makes Afro-textured hair so incredible. It reflects the natural coil pattern of your hair and is a sign that your strands have elasticity—the ability to stretch and spring back. If your goal is longer hair, the answer isn't to fight shrinkage. The answer is to learn how to care for your hair so it can retain the length it's growing.
